The Nizhniy Novgorod Region in ratings

According to the results of 2019, the Nizhny Novgorod Region retained its position in the Investment Climate Rating of the Russian regions: Group 2A (with a minimum investment risk) among three other Russian regions (Belgorod, Samara regions and the Republic of Tatarstan).

The Nizhny Novgorod Region took an active part in all-Russian competition of the best practices and initiatives for socio-economic development of the Russian regions. The competition is held by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI).  Five Nizhny Novgorod Region projects reached the final of the competition. In total, 29 projects from 19 regions went to the final.

According to the results of 2018, the Nizhny Novgorod Region retained its position in the Investment Climate Rating of the Russian regions: Group 2A (average potential, minimum risk).

 The Nizhniy Novgorod Region in ratings: according to the results of the year 2017, the Nizhniy Novgorod Region retained its position in the Investment Climate Rating of the Russian regions: Group 2A (average potential, minimum risk).

The Nizhniy Novgorod Region came up in the Investment Climate Rating of the Russian regions compiled by the EXPERT RA Agency according to the results of the year 2016, for the first time in 19 years moving from group 2B (average potential, moderate risk) to group 2A (average potential, minimum risk). The rating is compiled annually on the basis of survey of the representatives of expert, investment and banking community.

The monthly media rating of investment attractiveness of the regions of the Russian Federation compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives revealed the steady position of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region in the TOP 10 list of the leading Russian regions during the year 2016.

In October 2016, the results of a survey of the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber were published, according to them, the region was included in the TOP 7 list of the Russian regions, which German business community considers the most attractive in terms of investment.

In 2014 and 2015, the Government of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region became the winner of the ROSINFRA national award in the field of infrastructure.

In 2014, the region won in two nominated categories:

  • “The best infrastructure project in the field of housing and municipal services”
  • “The best infrastructure project in the social sphere” in the category “Sport”.

In 2015, the regional Government received the ROSINFRA award in the nominated category “The best information technology project”.
