Stage of project implementation

As of 01/01/2016, the deposit's reserves are 6,319 thousand m3.

Stocks of sand and gravel material of the Strelkovsky section of the Zavolzhsky deposit were approved by the territorial commission on stocks (Minutes No. 160 of December 31, 1972).

This subsoil plot is included in the List of Subsoil Plots of Local Importance of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and is currently in the unallocated subsoil fund.

In case of granting the use of Strelkovsky site, it is necessary to take into account that part of it (about 10% of the area) is located in the water protection zone of water objects: the Volga river and the Polyanskoe lake. The width of the water protection zone of the Volga River is 200 meters, the lake Polianskoe is 50 meters. In accordance with Article 65 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, within the boundaries of water protection zones, exploration and production of commonly occurring minerals is prohibited.

In this connection, the volume of balance reserves of the Strelkovsky site will decrease.

Stocks of sand and gravel material of the Strelka site can be used as a raw material for the production of dense silicate concrete of the M200 and M300 grades.

In 2015, 729 thousand cubic meters of construction non-metallic materials were imported to the Nizhny Novgorod region, including gravel and sand-gravel mixture. In this regard, the development of this area of the Volga deposit is topical.
