Minister of economic development and investments of Nizhny Novgorod region Igor Norenkov took part in MSV exhibition in Czech Republic
In the period from 1 to 2 October 2018, the Minister of economic development and investment of the Nizhny Novgorod region Igor Norenkov visited the Czech Republic to participate in the 60th international machine-building exhibition MSV in Brno. The exhibition has been held annually since 1958 and is recognized as one of the leading European machine-building exhibitions.
The Minister held talks with the Trade representative of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic Sergey Stupar on the prospects for further cooperation in promoting the potential of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the Czech Republic and attracting potential investors.
Igor Norenkov took part in the working Breakfast of the Minister of industry and trade of the Czech Republic Martha Novakova, during which they discussed the development of interregional and intergovernmental cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic, the risks of reducing trade between the countries, as well as a number of problematic issues for discussion at the upcoming meeting of the intergovernmental Commission.
During the visit, the Minister also held a business meeting with Martin Pospisil, Director of the foreign economic policy Department of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Czech Republic. The parties discussed the possibility of implementing major projects in the field of nuclear medicine, road construction and processing of solid waste in the Nizhny Novgorod region, agreed to work out the possibility of organizing a business mission headed by the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin in the Czech Republic. The meeting was attended by the head of the Russian-Czech enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod "Imatinib" jiří Pytlicek, which announced plans for the further development of the company in the production of electric transport (trams).
